Runner's guide
Mimosa Pela Vida is limited to 15,000 participants and open to everyone over the age of 8, provided they meet the health conditions required for the event. A medical certificate is not generally required: by registering, participants confirm they are physically fit to take part and accept the Terms of Responsibility in the Race Regulations. Registrations are personal and non-transferable, and all registered participants are covered by the sports insurance provided by the organization.
Visually impaired participants may take part with a guide upon presentation of a multipurpose disability medical certificate showing a disability level of 60% or more. Wheelchair users may take part assisted by another person, with participation and access to the start agreed in advance with the organization. Both register exclusively through inscricoes.pdvmc@maratonaportugal.com, are exempt from the registration fee, and their guide or accompanying person — registered together with them — is also not charged.

- 2Choose your timing option
Registration costs €15 for a BIB without a timing chip and €17 for a BIB with a timing chip. Select the chip option if you want an official time.
- 3Receive your registration document by email
You will need the registration document (PDF sent by email), together with an identification document, to collect your BIB and participation kit.
Refunds and transfers to another person are not available. In the event of pregnancy supported by a medical certificate, the registration may remain valid for up to two years; in the event of injury supported by a medical certificate, for the following edition.

No bib and participation kit pickup on Race Day
Please collect on Saturday, May 15. No pickup on Sunday.
The BIB is personal and non-transferable and must be worn visibly on the chest throughout the event. Participants without a valid BIB will not be allowed onto the course.
The timing chip is included in the BIB for Elite participants, teams entered in the official collective prizes and individual participants who select the BIB-with-chip option during registration.

Before the race
Mimosa Pela Vida is a 5 km charity race in Lisbon that combines sport, solidarity and awareness in support of the fight against breast cancer. All revenues raised by Mimosa Pela Vida are donated to the Portuguese League Against Cancer, supporting the fight against breast cancer and the purchase of breast cancer screening equipment.

Participants over the age of 8 may register and take part, provided they meet the health conditions required for the event.
Yes. The event is limited to 15,000 participants. The organization may adjust or close registrations according to technical or operational availability.
During the race
The 5 km course starts in Santos and follows Lisbon’s waterfront towards Belém, passing under the Avenida Infante Santo viaduct and continuing along Avenida Brasília before finishing at Belém Tower.
The official course map will be published on the race website.
Yes. An official aid station will be available at approximately km 2.5. The organization may also provide additional stations at marked locations.
The time limit is 2 hours.
Yes. Medical assistance will be available throughout the event and at the finish, where a medical tent will be installed. Registered participants are also covered by sports insurance provided by the organization.
After the race
Timing is optional for most participants. Individual participants who want an official time should select the €17 BIB-with-chip option when registering. Elite participants and teams entered in the official collective prizes also use a timing chip.
Yes, for participants using an official timing chip. Final classifications are considered approved 15 days after the race.
Yes. There are male and female Elite cash prizes of €500 for 1st place, €300 for 2nd place and €200 for 3rd place. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, and special prizes are awarded to the winning teams in the official collective competitions.
Yes. All participants who complete the race receive an official finisher medal and other race souvenirs.
