Runner's guide
The EDP Lisbon Half Marathon is limited to 20,000 runners and participants must be at least 18 years old on race day. Registration is personal and non-transferable, and all registered participants are covered by the sports insurance provided by the organization.
For the 2027 edition, access to general entries was managed through a ballot. Applying to the ballot was free; selected applicants were then invited to complete registration and payment within the deadline communicated by the organization.

The BIB is personal and non-transferable and must be worn visibly on the chest throughout the race. The electronic chip in the BIB is used for timing and classification.
The BIB also identifies operational information relevant to each runner, including the suggested train time and the assigned starting box once the final starting-box structure has been confirmed.
Using another participant’s BIB may result in disqualification and suspension from future editions.

Before the race
Yes. Lisbon is one of the six SuperHalfs races, together with Berlin, Cardiff, Copenhagen, Prague and Valencia.
If you already have a SuperHalfs passport, include your passport number in your race registration whenever possible. After you finish, your result can be matched to your profile. If it is not matched automatically, use the result-claim process provided by SuperHalfs.
The race takes place on Sunday, March 7, 2027, starting at 09:30 am.
The official distance is 21.097 km.
Participants must be at least 18 years old on race day.
During the race
General participants start on the 25 de Abril Bridge and head towards Lisbon before following the Tagus River waterfront to the finish in Praça do Império, in front of Centro Cultural de Belém.
The official 2027 map will be published on the race website. Any maps still identified as 2026 should be treated as reference only until the 2027 course is confirmed.
Official aid stations will be located at approximately 5 km intervals. Exact locations and products will be confirmed closer to race day.
Yes. Participants may carry their own nutrition and hydration products.
The race has a 3-hour time limit.
After the race
The finish line is in Praça do Império, in front of Centro Cultural de Belém, in Belém.
All classified finishers receive an official medal and other race souvenirs. Final refreshment products and services will be confirmed closer to race day.
Medical assistance and participant services will be available in the finish area. The final layout and full list of services will be published closer to race day.
The 2026 event offered a medal engraving service. The 2027 Regulations do not confirm this service, so availability and conditions for 2027 will be announced closer to the race.
Participants can use Lisbon public transport upon presentation of their BIB. The final services and operating period will be communicated closer to race day.
